The MP1000C-THC is a breakthrough in technology for Torch Height Control.  With features that are equal to units costing thousands of dollars, the MP1000C-THC will set a new standard for cost effective torch height control.  Utilizing dual processors this unit has been engineered to not only do the THC function but to provide a new level of machine-software interface.  Built to work with the popular MACH3 software controller it can be controlled from the front panel and the the MACH3 screens.  This is truly the next generation in low cost CNC controls and torch height.  Read the features list and discover that the MP1000C-THC is more than just a THC.  It can be the hub of your CNC machine. The Software

Mach3 has set a new standard for features and flexibility.  It is the first Windows CNC application to offer an open development environment for plug-ins, Multiple machine profiles, advanced constant velocity motion contol and a custom screen painter.  You have full access to the features that compliment plasma cutting using our custom screen and setup files. Every MP1000-THC ships with the files you need on CD and the there is a plug on the front panel to interface one or two handwheel (encoders). Or one encoder and 3 option switches.  The MP1000 is the first THC product to take full advantage of the MACH3 interface to actually let the control software talk directly with the THC Controller hardware.

Mach3 uses the standard parallel port(s) to control up to 6 axis of motion and numerous input/output functions. Using our HCL310 I/O card (shipped with unit) and the optional quad relay box upgrade, you can add the ability to turn on virtually any load up to 15A and control them from the software. Direct interface between the MP1000C and MACH3 allows us to offer sophisticated options, like the built-in Anti-Dive, (toolpath awareness) as well as methods to tune and optimize the Constant Velocity parameters for your machine. With the new Direct Communications via Serial we now have the ability to control THC settings from within MACH3

A Peak INSIDE at HOW THE MP1000C is IMPROVED!!

This tiny circuit board gives the new C series a powerful new feature.  TOTAL ANALOG ISOLATION.  What does that mean?  The tip volt feedback from the plasma has always been a source of potential ground loops, common mode noise and difficult testing and troubleshooting.  NO LONGER.  The THC ANALOG to ANALOG ISOLATION MODULE completely isolates the tip volts and tip volt ground from anything inside the MP1000C.  Processor based it features better than 1% linearity over the full range of tip voltage (50 to 250 VDC) and has a built in self-test and Go-no-go indicator.  Mounted to the rear of the MP1000C (inside),  the status lamp and push-to-test button make troubleshooting quick.  At a glance you can tell if the THC Sensor card at the plasma unit is sending voltage.  Put the MP1000C in Test mode and punch the test button on the ANALOG card and it puts a reference voltage on the front panel LED to test all of the internal THC circuit!   No other DTHC at ANY price has these features.  Every MP1000C-THC has the new card.


 

THC SENSOR CARD

The THC Sensor card is installed adjacent to or inside the plasma unit and provides the interface for the Torch Switch, scaling, and filtering of the Tip Voltage. Also included (not shown) is the Current Sense Transformer designed for plasma machines that do not have an Arc Good (XFR) active signal. Circuitry is provided to adjust the sensitivity of the Arc Sensing and a front panel lamp indicates the Arc Good condition.  Interface connection to the controller is with a standard DB9 shielded cable. An can be up to 25 ft in length.

HCL301 I/O CARD

 

One of the most time consuming processes in the build-up of CNC equipment is all of the individual wiring that’s required. The innovative new HCL301 I/O card mounts on the table itself or inside your control cabinet, and provides a convenient and quick place to connect up all of the Home, Limit and Emergency Stop switches on the machine. Once all the control switches are wired, it simply plugs into the back of the MP1000-THC Controller Box via a standard shielded DB25 cable.

Safety inputs are NC (Normally Closed) meaning they have to be active for the equipment to operate providing an added level of failsafe in the event of loose connections or broken wires.

Surface mount LED indicators quickly and easily indicate the condition of each line. Small test buttons confirm input operation all the way back to the control software They also help in troubleshooting any table I/O problems.

The HCL301 has a DB9 that cross connects to our new Quad Relay Box (OPTION) for controlling up to 4 additional outputs (one 20A one 10A and two 1A isolated relays)

The Table I/O is a CandCNC only product and is designed to interface with the MP1000 and future second-generation breakout board products

The MTA100 card (shipped with MP1000C-THC) is a small breakout card designed to easily interface the step and direction signals from the Axis I/O port on the MP1000-THC to the motor drive modules.  5.5 channels of step and direction are available at the card .  Other connectors allow interface to the new SPSC Smart Power Control and our line of Modular EZPlug Gecko interface cards. The RUN and STOP buttons on the MP1000-C then become remote power control buttons for the SPSC Power Controller..

MP1000C OPTIONS:

The MPG101B is the perfect companion for the MP1000C.  Using the advanced ability of MACH this Hand Control has dozens of MACH direct functions.  The Proportional 4 Quadrant Analog Jog Stick allows two axis simultaneous jogging in three ranges:  Fast, Slow, Step.   There are enough function buttons to do complete setup including individual axis Reference (Homing) and Zero DRO.  Feedrate override is standard and the Run, Stop and Feedhold buttons give you full control of the program.  In addition the THC version ships with the ability to Set the Target Torch Volts (cut gap) AS YOU CUT!   MPG101B ships with custom MACH Plug-in (NOT a Macro) and plugs directly into the front of any MP1000 series Interface Unit.
If you ever run a machine with our Hand Controller you will never go back to simple keyboard control!

 

 

No other Product Vendor gives you the level of integrated complete solutions.  Available for use with the MP1000C-THC the new QUAD RELAY BOX is a fully enclosed molded case with two standard 120vac three pronged plugs.  Each plug is activated separately through software and can be used to turn on any AC load up to the rating of the plug.   Located on the side are two 15A breakers, and plug-in access to two more internal low current relays.  With the voltage available, you can easily use the small relays to turn on SSR's for really huge loads. Bright Status LED's give you visual indication of what is active.  A single DB9 cable (included) lets you mount the QUAD RELAY BOX up to 25 ft from the HCL301 I/O card (included with all MP1000C products).  Hefty enough to handle larger AC loads it makes a perfect addtion to a mixed use (router/plasma) table or on that needs controlled AC to motors, fans, misters, etc).  Easy tab mount to any surface
