Gecko "EZ PLUG" Dual Stepper Interface card.  Note 5 wide motor connect plugs making improper connection in a mixed servo/stepper application unlikely.  Gecko Current is set via handy dip switches.  32 values of current from 1 to 7 Amps.  Replaces 24 hardwired connections.

Gecko "EZ PLUG" Servo Interface Card shown removed from Gecko Power Plate.  All Servo cards have Differential to Single-Ended receivers.  Single 10 pin ribbon cable connects down to PSC650 Main Board.  Gecko Servo Interface cards are for use with PSC650 or PSC1500 units ONLY!  Option jumpers allow use with CandCNC Differenitial Driver cards (pictured below) OR from differential driver cards (using RJ45 connectors) from USDigital and their cables.

Close-up view of Gecko Power Deck used in our PSC650 and PSC 1500 designs.  Designed to be both a heatsink and heavy-duty mount.  Interface Card means no individual wires to Geckos.  Mounting plate kits do not include the short pieces of 80/20.

 

 Another view of the EZPlug Gecko Power Deck showing the modular design and external plug access.  Interface Cards have one ribbon cable and 4 power connections.  Entire plate unbolts and slides off in seconds.  Cards mount top and bottom on two spaced plates.  Up to 4 Geckos of any type can be used.  Mounting plates available separately.

 

 

Plate (provided on all units purchased with a case) are double laminated and easy to read with color coded inputs and outputs.  Picture is of Stacked Dual Servo (3 or 4 servo system).  Mixed servo stepper systems ship with slightly different plates

 

Servo Differential Cable Driver cards.  These are designed to plug into E5S or E2S US Digital encoders.  They turn low cost single ended encoders into true differential encoders and allow uses of standard Network UTP Cat 5 or Cat 6 unshielded cabeling.  The receivers are on the Gecko "EZ PLUG" Servo Interface Card .  Two drivers are included with every one dual servo card.

Why Differential Encoder Signals?  Ask the people that make the digital encoders.  The max recommended length for single ended drivers is less than 2 meters.   Differential drivers use a balanced non-ground referenced line.  Outside noise injected on both lines is cancelled out.  Similar to RS422. the Differential drivers allow low level logic signals from the encoders to use unshielded twisted pair wires up to 100 ft in noisy environments.  We know the frustration of fighting noise and lost position.  CandCNC designed our Servo interface cards to be Differential to give the builder one more advantage.
